God's Word

From Paul, Silas, and Timothy. To the church at Thessalonica united with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Good will  and peace are yours!

Then the apostles, the spiritual leaders, and the whole church decided to choose some of their men to send with Paul and Barnabas to the city of Antioch. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, who were leaders among the believers.

We have sent Judas and Silas to report to you on our decision.

Paul chose Silas and left after the believers entrusted him to the Lord’s care.

When her owners realized that their hope of making money was gone, they grabbed Paul and Silas and dragged them to the authorities in the public square.

Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God. The other prisoners were listening to them.

The jailer asked for torches and rushed into the jail. He was trembling as he knelt in front of Paul and Silas.

The people of Berea were more open-minded than the people of Thessalonica. They were very willing to receive God’s message, and every day they carefully examined the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was true.

But when Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul devoted all his time to teaching God’s word. He assured the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.

So he sent two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, to Macedonia, while he stayed longer in the province of Asia.

Sopater (son of Pyrrhus) from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus from the province of Asia accompanied Paul.

To everyone in Rome whom God loves and has called to be his holy people. Good will  and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ are yours!

To God’s church that was made holy by Christ Jesus and called to be God’s holy people in the city of Corinth and to people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and from Timothy our brother. To God’s church in the city of Corinth and to all God’s holy people everywhere in Greece.

God’s Son, Jesus Christ, whom I, Silvanus, and Timothy told you about, was true not false. Because of him our message was always true.

and all the believers who are with me. To the churches in Galatia.

The churches of Christ in Judea didn’t know me personally.

Good will  and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ are yours!

From Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus. To God’s people in the city of Philippi and their bishops and deacons—to everyone who is united with Christ Jesus.

From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will, and from our brother Timothy.

From Paul, Silas, and Timothy. To the church at Thessalonica united with God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

To Timothy, a genuine child in faith. Good will, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord are yours!

To Timothy, my dear child. Good will, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!

You know that Timothy, our brother, has been freed. If he comes here soon, both of us will visit you.

I’ve written this short letter to you and I’m sending it by Silvanus, whom I regard as a faithful brother. I’ve written to encourage you and to testify that this is God’s genuine good will. Remain firmly established in it!

This is the life we have seen and heard. We are reporting about it to you also so that you, too, can have a relationship with us. Our relationship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
