When the children inside her were struggling with each other, she said, “If it’s like this now, what will become of me?” So she went to ask the Lord.

They say to the seers, ‘Don’t see ⌞the future⌟.’ They say to those who have visions, ‘Don’t have visions that tell us what is right. Tell us what we want to hear. See illusions.

Then Amaziah said to Amos, “You seer, run away to Judah! Eat there, and prophesy there!

If the whole body were an eye, how could it hear? If the whole body were an ear, how could it smell?

After Joshua’s death the Israelites asked the Lord, “Who will go first to fight the Canaanites for us?”

They said to him, “Please find out from God if our journey will be successful.”

Saul told his servant, “That’s a good idea! Come on, let’s go.” They went to the city where the man of God was.
