“Do what you think is best,” her husband Elkanah told her. “Wait until you’ve weaned him. May the Lord keep his word.” The woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

But if her husband cancels it when he hears about it, nothing she said in her vow or oath has to be kept. Her husband has canceled it, and the Lord will free her ⌞from this vow or oath⌟.

While Jesus was speaking, a woman in the crowd shouted, “How blessed is the mother who gave birth to you and the breasts that nursed you.”

Eli replied, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant your request.”

Saul told all Israel, “You stand on one side, and my son Jonathan and I will stand on the other side.” “Do whatever you think is best,” the troops responded to Saul.
