When Hadad heard in Egypt that David had lain down in death with his ancestors and that Joab, the commander of the army, had died, he said to Pharaoh, “Let me go to my own country.”

So Joseph sent his brothers on their way. As they were leaving, he said to them, “Don’t quarrel on your way back!”

The angel said to him, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and go to Israel. Those who tried to kill the child are dead.”

“I agree,” she said. So she let them go and tied the red cord in the window.

At dawn Samuel called to Saul on the roof, “Get up! ⌞It’s time for⌟ me to send you away.” Saul got up, and both he and Samuel went outside.
