Abraham and Sarah were old. Sarah was past the age of childbearing.

By now Abraham was old, and the Lord had blessed him in every way.

Again, if two people lie down together, they can keep warm, but how can one person keep warm?

Yet, they never had any children because Elizabeth couldn’t become pregnant. Both of them were too old to have children.

Joshua was old, near the end of his life. So the Lord said to him, “You are old, near the end of your life, and there is a lot of land left to be conquered.
