We are confident that God listens to us if we ask for anything that has his approval.

⌞Righteous people⌟ cry out. The Lord hears and rescues them from all their troubles.

When you pray for things, you don’t get them because you want them for the wrong reason—for your own pleasure.

We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners. Instead, he listens to people who are devout and who do what he wants.

We can go to God with bold confidence through faith in Christ.

So far you haven’t asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive so that you can be completely happy.

Now, dear children, live in Christ. Then, when he appears we will have confidence, and when he comes we won’t turn from him in shame.

The Lord is far from wicked people, but he hears the prayers of righteous people.

So admit your sins to each other, and pray for each other so that you will be healed. Prayers offered by those who have God’s approval are effective.

The Lord listens to needy people. He does not despise his own who are in prison.

When I was panic-stricken, I said, “I have been cut off from your sight.” But you heard my pleas for mercy when I cried out to you for help.

So don’t lose your confidence. It will bring you a great reward.

After all, we will remain Christ’s partners only if we continue to hold on to our original confidence until the end.

I’ve known that you always hear me. However, I’ve said this so that the crowd standing around me will believe that you sent me.”

They forced the poor to cry out to him, and he hears the cry of those who suffer.

But Christ is a faithful son in charge of God’s household. We are his household if we continue to have courage and to be proud of the confidence we have.

So I’m going to do what you’ve asked. I’m giving you a wise and understanding heart so that there will never be anyone like you.

He fills the needs of those who fear him. He hears their cries for help and saves them.

That which wicked people dread happens to them, but ⌞the Lord⌟ grants the desire of righteous people.
