Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you. Whoever does what God approves of has God’s approval as Christ has God’s approval.

If you know that Christ has God’s approval, you also know that everyone who does what God approves of has been born from God.

People who merely listen to the laws in Moses’ Teachings don’t have God’s approval. Rather, people who do what those laws demand will have God’s approval.

So all people who have this confidence in Christ keep themselves pure, as Christ is pure.

I’m writing to you about those who are trying to deceive you.

My dear children, I’m writing this to you so that you will not sin. Yet, if anyone does sin, we have Jesus Christ, who has God’s full approval. He speaks on our behalf when we come into the presence of the Father.

You have loved what is right and hated what is wrong. That is why God, your God, has anointed you, rather than your companions, with the oil of joy.

Rather, whoever respects God and does what is right is acceptable to him in any nation.

Light produces everything that is good, that has God’s approval, and that is true.

Blessed are those who defend justice and do what is right at all times.

Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so that freed from our sins, we could live a life that has God’s approval. His wounds have healed you.

Don’t you know that wicked people won’t inherit God’s kingdom? Stop deceiving yourselves! People who continue to commit sexual sins, who worship false gods, those who commit adultery, homosexuals,

by being holy and honorable as long as we live.

You believe that there is one God. That’s fine! The demons also believe that, and they tremble with fear.

Jesus Christ will fill your lives with everything that God’s approval produces. Your lives will then bring glory and praise to God.

I can guarantee that unless you live a life that has God’s approval and do it more faithfully than the experts in Moses’ Teachings and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Do what God’s word says. Don’t merely listen to it, or you will fool yourselves.

Abraham gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything he had captured. In the first place, Melchizedek’s name means king of God’s approval. He is also called king of Salem (which means king of peace).

But God said about his Son, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter in your kingdom is a scepter for justice.

Don’t let anyone deceive you with meaningless words. It is because of sins like these that God’s anger comes to those who refuse to obey him.

Dear children, we must show love through actions that are sincere, not through empty words.

God’s love has reached its goal in us. So we look ahead with confidence to the day of judgment. While we are in this world, we are exactly like him ⌞with regard to love⌟.
