Now, suppose a person has enough to live on and notices another believer in need. How can God’s love be in that person if he doesn’t bother to help the other believer?

A righteous person cares ⌞even⌟ about the life of his animals, but the compassion of wicked people is ⌞nothing but⌟ cruelty.

Whoever oppresses the poor insults his maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors him.

Whoever has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his good deed.

Whoever shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will call and not be answered.

Surely the prayer of someone who refuses to listen to ⌞God’s⌟ teachings is disgusting.

He answered them, “Whoever has two shirts should share with the person who doesn’t have any. Whoever has food should share it too.”

You know about the kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was rich, yet for your sake he became poor in order to make you rich through his poverty.

Don’t forget to do good things for others and to share what you have with them. These are the kinds of sacrifices that please God.

Suppose a believer, whether a man or a woman, needs clothes or food

and one of you tells that person, “God be with you! Stay warm, and make sure you eat enough.” If you don’t provide for that person’s physical needs, what good does it do?

Whoever says, “I love God,” but hates another believer is a liar. People who don’t love other believers, whom they have seen, can’t love God, whom they have not seen.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has been born from God. Everyone who loves the Father also loves his children.
