What will separate us from the love Christ has for us? Can trouble, distress, persecution, hunger, nakedness, danger, or violent death separate us from his love?

Don’t we have the right to eat and drink?

When someone makes you slaves, consumes your wealth, seizes your property, orders you around, or slaps your faces, you put up with it.

In every way we’re troubled, but we aren’t crushed by our troubles. We’re frustrated, but we don’t give up.

I know how to live in poverty or prosperity. No matter what the situation, I’ve learned the secret of how to live when I’m full or when I’m hungry, when I have too much or when I have too little.

You also know about the kind of persecutions and sufferings which happened to me in the cities of Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured those persecutions, and the Lord rescued me from all of them.
