Ulam’s son was Bedan. These were the people of Gilead, descendants of Machir (son of Manasseh).

He saw his grandchildren, Ephraim’s children. Even the children of Machir, son of Manasseh, were adopted by Joseph at birth.

Maacah, Machir’s wife, had a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother’s name was Sheresh, whose sons were Ulam and Rakem.

Bedan’s sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.

“Then the Lord sent Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthah, and Samuel and rescued you from your enemies on every side so that you could live securely.
