From the tribe of Gad, they received Ramoth in Gilead with its pastureland, Mahanaim with its pastureland,

When he saw them, Jacob said, “This is God’s camp!” He named that place Mahanaim [Two Camps].

David had ⌞already⌟ come to Mahanaim by the time Absalom and all the men of Israel with him crossed the Jordan River.

When David came to Mahanaim, Shobi, son of Nahash from Rabbah in Ammon, and Machir, son of Ammiel from Lo Debar, and Barzillai from Rogelim in Gilead

Barzillai was an elderly man, 80 years old. Because he was a very rich man, he had provided the king with food while he was staying at Mahanaim.

The prophet Elisha called one of the disciples of the prophets. He said, “Put on your belt. Take this flask of olive oil, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

Ramoth with its pastureland, and Anem with its pastureland.

Kedemoth with its pastureland and Mephaath with its pastureland.

Heshbon with its pastureland, and Jazer with its pastureland.
