David ordered the foreigners living in Israel to gather. He appointed some of them to cut stones to build God’s temple.

Then King Hiram of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedarwood, carpenters, and stonemasons. They built a palace for David.

Solomon counted all the men who were foreigners in the land of Israel, as his father David had counted them. Solomon counted 153,600 foreigners.

So they gave money to the stonecutters and carpenters. Then they gave food, drink, and olive oil to the men from Sidon and Tyre in exchange for cedar, which the men would bring by sea from Lebanon to Joppa as King Cyrus of Persia had authorized them to do.

Also, at that time you were without Christ. You were excluded from citizenship in Israel, and the pledges  ⌞God made in his⌟ promise were foreign to you. You had no hope and were in the world without God.
