Solomon my son, get to know the God of your father. Serve him with complete dedication and with a willing mind, for the Lord examines every motivation and understands the intention of every thought. If you look for him, you will find him; but if you abandon him, he will reject you forever.

The wicked are too proud to come to God. In all their thinking they never consider God.

The Lord is in his Temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven. He keeps a close eye on everyone, watching them carefully.

The beginning of wisdom is honoring the Lord. Those who follow what he says do well. He is to be praised forever!

You told me, “Come to me.” I am coming to you, Lord.

Look for the Lord while you can still find him; call out to him while he's nearby.

I see everything they're doing. They can't hide from me, and their sins aren't hidden from me either.

Can people hide in secret places where I can't see them? asks the Lord. Don't I operate everywhere in heaven and on earth? asks the Lord.

Be careful to observe them, because this will demonstrate your wisdom and insight to the other people living there who are watching. They will find out about all these rules and say, “The people of this great nation are very wise and have good insight.”
