Either decide that the tree is good, and its fruit is good, or decide that the tree is bad and its fruit is bad—for the tree is known by its fruit.
You can recognize them by their fruits. Do people harvest grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?
You recognize a tree by the fruit it produces. You don't pick figs from thorn bushes, or harvest grapes from brambles.
So in the current case I recommend that you leave these men alone, and just let them go. If what they are planning or what they are doing comes from their own human thinking, then it will be defeated.
