Unless those days are cut short, nobody will be saved, but for the sake of the chosen those days will be cut short.

Even though a tenth of the population remains in the land, it will be destroyed again. But in the same way as the terebinth and oak trees leave stumps when they're cut down, so the holy seed will remain as a stump.”

With a blast from a trumpet he will send his angels to gather his chosen ones from every place, from one end of heaven and earth to the other.

If God doesn't cut short these days, no one will survive. However, for the sake of those God has chosen, he has cut them short.

“Don't you think that God will make sure his chosen people receive justice, those who cry out to him day and night? Do you think he will make them wait?

This letter comes from Peter, apostle of Jesus Christ, and is sent to God's chosen people: exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.
