How foolish and blind you are! What is greater—the sacrifice, or the altar that makes the sacrifice holy?

If you swear by the Temple you swear by it and by the one who lives there.

People swear on things that are greater than they are, and when they have some dispute the oath is taken as the final word on the matter.
