The crowd was astounded at what they saw happen: the deaf could speak, the crippled were healed, the lame could walk, and the blind could see. They praised the God of Israel.

If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It's better for you to enter eternal life crippled or lame rather than to have two hands or two feet and to be thrown into eternal fire.

The blind and the lame came to Jesus in the Temple, and he healed them.

When Jesus heard what he said, he was astonished. He told those who were following him, “I tell you the truth, I haven't found this kind of trust anywhere in Israel.

As Jesus and his disciples were leaving, a man was brought to him who was dumb and demon-possessed.

Once the demon had been thrown out of him, the dumb man spoke, and the crowds were amazed. “Nothing ever happened like this before in Israel,” they said.

When the crowds saw what had happened, they were scared. Then they praised God that he had given human beings such power.

He stood up, picked up his mat, and walked out in front of everyone there. They were all amazed, and praised God, saying, “We've never ever seen anything like this!”

They were totally amazed and said, “Everything he does is marvelous. He even makes the deaf hear, and the dumb speak.”

If your hand leads you to sin, cut it off! It's better to enter eternal life as a cripple than to go with both hands into Gehenna, into the fire that can't be put out.

Instead, when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind,

The servant returned and told his master what they'd said. The home-owner became angry and told his servant, ‘Quickly, go out into the streets and alleys of the town, and bring in the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’

Immediately the man could see. He followed Jesus, praising God. Everyone there who saw what happened also praised God.

A sense of awe filled everyone there and they praised God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us,” and “God has visited his people.”

Once more they called in the man who had been blind, and told him, “Give God the glory! We know this man is a sinner.”
