When the people there realized Jesus was there, they let everyone in the whole area know. They brought all who were sick to him,

After crossing the lake they arrived at Gennesaret.

and pleaded with him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak. Everyone that touched him was healed.

They ran everywhere around the whole area to bring in all the sick on their mats to where they'd heard Jesus was.

But recognizing Peter's voice, in her excitement she didn't open the door. Instead she ran back inside shouting, “Peter's at the door!”

They recognized him as the beggar who used to sit by the Temple's Beautiful Gate, and they were surprised and amazed at what had happened to him.
