Simon's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever, so they told Jesus about her.
When Jesus arrived at Peter's house, he saw that Peter's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever.
Then they left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon and Andrew, along with James and John.
He went to her, took her by the hand, and helped her up. The fever immediately left her. Then she made them a meal.
and pleaded with him, saying, “My little daughter is about to die. Please come and place your hands on her so she may be healed and live.”
So the sisters sent a message to Jesus: “Lord, your close friend is sick.”
Don't we have a right to be accompanied by a Christian wife, like the rest of the apostles, the Lord's brothers, and Peter?
