As a result the other chief ministers and provincial governors tried to find a pretext against Daniel as to the way he ran the kingdom. Watching for an opportunity they sent spies who pretended to be sincere. They tried to catch Jesus out in something he said so they could hand him over to the power and authority of the governor.

It's clear that everything in the law applies to those who live under the law so that no one could have any excuses, and to make sure everyone in the whole world is answerable to God.

For there are many rebels around who talk a lot of deceptive nonsense, especially from the circumcision group.
