“Everyone serves out the best wine first,” he told him, “and once people have had plenty to drink, then they put out the cheaper wine. But you have kept the best wine till last!”

I will pour out my Spirit on my servants, both male and female, and they will prophesy.

These people are not serving Christ our Lord but their own appetites, and by their smooth-talking and pleasant words they deceive the minds of unsuspecting people.

You put up with people who make you slaves, who take what you have, who exploit you, who arrogantly put you down, who hit you in the face.

You will celebrate there in the presence of the Lord your God—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levites living in your towns, because they don't have any share in the allotment of land.

For it's during the night that people sleep; and it's at night that they get drunk.

They will be paid back in harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of fun is to commit their evil lusts in broad daylight. They are stains and blemishes on your community. They enjoy their deceptive pleasures even while they eat together with you.

They promise them freedom, even though they themselves are slaves to depravity. “You are a slave to whatever conquers you.”

These people shed the blood of believers. Now you've given them blood to drink, as they deserve!”

In her the blood of prophets and believers was found, and of all those who have been killed on the earth.”
