First Nations Version

For it was not that long ago that we were also foolish and misled rebels who let our evil desires rule over us. Some of us were even bad-hearted, jealous troublemakers, hated by others and hating each other.

At one time you were outsiders, separated from Creator by your hostile thoughts that led to evil ways.


I am giving thanks to the Great Spirit! For even though you once followed your bad hearts and broken ways, you turned from that path, and now from the heart you follow the sacred ways that you have been taught.


All of you once followed this dark path when you walked in these ways,


But now you have been set free from broken ways to follow the ways of the Great Spirit. Good fruit grows along this path as you walk in a sacred manner on the road that leads to the life of the world to come that never fades away, full of beauty and harmony.


Because you are the children of the Great Spirit, follow all his instructions. Do not walk with a bad heart, as you did in the past when you did not know the things you know now.


But I fear that when I come to you we will not be walking in step with each other. I might find among you that there will be arguing, jealousy, uncontrolled anger, selfish desires, forked tongues, boastful talk, and hostile ways.


“I speak truth from my heart,” he answered them. “All who walk in the broken ways of this world become slaves to their bad hearts.


At first the son told him ‘No,’ but later changed his mind and went to work.


All who represent themselves as spiritual but do not keep their tongue under control are only fooling themselves—their spirituality is worthless.


The people who see themselves as something when they are nothing have become their own trickster.


“Make sure no one leads you down the wrong path,” he warned them, “for many will falsely represent me and say, ‘I am the Chosen One, follow me, there is no time left!’ Do not follow after them.


With a powerful and thundering voice he cried out: “She has fallen! The great Village of Confusion (Babylon) has fallen! She has become a lair for demons and impure spirits, and a corral for every impure despised bird and wild beast.


Because of the signs that were done as it represented the first wild beast, it was able to trick the people who live in the land. It instructed them to carve an image to honor the first wild beast who was fatally wounded by the long knife yet lived.


The great fiery-red sea serpent was thrown down from the spirit-world above. He is the ancient trickster snake, who is also called the evil one and Accuser (Satan). He is the one who takes the whole world down a false path. He was thrown down to the ground, along with all his spirit-messengers.


For we know that our old self was nailed to the cross with him, killing the evil desires in our bodies, so that our broken ways will not rule over us.


You must no longer give in to the desires of your weak human bodies, letting your broken ways turn you away from the good path.


Here is another way to see what I am saying: In the past you Outside Nations said no to these ways of the Great Spirit. But now, because the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel) have said no to Creator’s good story, you have said yes to it, and received the mercy they turned away from.


Some of these are men who trick their way into people’s families to manipulate vulnerable women who have given themselves over to broken ways to be burdened down with all kinds of evil desires.


Bad-hearted people will go from bad to worse. These are humans behaving like tricksters who lead people down the same kind of path they have been tricked into walking.


They represent themselves as those who know the Great Spirit, but the path they walk proves they do not. They show themselves to be disgusting, rebellious, and worthless for any kind of good deed.


It instructs us to turn away from all that does not honor our Creator and from the desire to walk in the ways of this world. It instructs us to walk with straight and firm steps on a good and sacred path in this present world.
