First Nations Version

If the Great Spirit did not hold back his own Son, but instead gave him up for us all, will he then hold back on anything else? Along with his Son, he will give us all there is to give.

“The Great Spirit loves this world of human beings so deeply he gave us his Son—the only Son who fully represents him. All who trust in him and his way will not come to a bad end, but will have the life of the world to come that never fades away, full of beauty and harmony.


In all these things, Creator is working to bring good to the ones who love him, the ones he chose according to his ancient purpose.


This is love, not that we loved Creator, but that he loved us and proved his love by sending his Son to take on himself the burden of our broken ways.


Creator Sets Free (Jesus), the one who knew no broken ways, was chosen by the Great Spirit to bear our broken ways, so that we would become the ones who represent his right ways.


We have not received the spirit of the world, but we have received Creator’s Spirit. This is how we can know the things that have been gifted to us by the Great Spirit.


Following the path of broken ways only earns us death, but Creator’s free gift to us is the life of the world to come that never fades away, full of beauty and harmony. This free gift is ours in the Chosen One, who is our Honored Chief Creator Sets Free (Jesus).


We are the ones who through our wrongdoings betrayed and killed him, but his rising from the dead proves we have good standing with the Great Spirit.


A voice from the sky spoke like distant thunder, “This is my much-loved Son, who makes my heart glad!”


All these blessings will belong to the ones who win the victory. I will be their Great Spirit, and they will be my sons and daughters.


So then, all that we suffer is for your good. This means that Creator’s gift of great kindness will reach more and more people. Then many people will give thanks to the Great Spirit, bringing him even greater honor.


For if Creator did not have pity on the original branches, why should he have pity on you?


“If fathers with bad hearts know how to give good gifts to their children, then how much more will the Great Spirit, who is your loving Father from above, give good gifts to the ones who ask?


Our hearts are glad even in times of sorrow. We may be poor, but we have made many rich. It looks as if we have nothing, but the truth is, all things are ours.
