For our broken human desires go against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit go against our broken human desires. They are at war with each other, and this struggle keeps you from doing the things you want to do.


We all stumble on the path in many ways. But if we could keep our words from hurting others, we would be mature human beings, able to aim our whole lives in the right direction.


Love with a true heart. Hate what is evil and hold on tight to what is good.


and rescue some as if you were snatching them from flames of fire. To others show mercy as you tremble in fear, hating the broken ways that have stained their regalia and ruined their lives.


So in these situations keep what you believe about these things between you and the Great Spirit. The ones who are doing what they know to be right have no reason to feel any guilt, for Creator’s blessing rests on them.


But the solid rock of Creator’s truth stands firm. Carved into it are these words: “Our Honored Chief knows the ones who belong to him,” and “All those who say they honor his name must turn away from all wrongdoing.”


You love right ways and hate wrong ways. So the Great Spirit, your Creator, has chosen you to be a Chief, by pouring the oil of joy on you, honoring you more than all who walk the road with you.”


And if I hate doing wrong, then it is a good thing for me to agree with the law that these things are wrong.


Your actions show you are walking in their moccasins, for they killed the prophets, and you decorate their burial grounds.


I no longer see you as my servants but as friends. Masters do not share their hearts and plans with their servants, but I have shown you everything I have heard from my Father.
