Romans 7:14First Nations VersionFor we know that our tribal law is spiritual, but I am a weak human being. My broken ways rule over me as if I were their slave. See the chapter |
But I tell you, everyone who is angry toward a fellow human being will have to give an answer to the tribal council. If they speak with disrespect to someone, saying, ‘You hollow head!’ they will also face the tribal council. If they curse someone by saying ‘You damn fool!’ they may end up in the Valley of Smoldering Fire.
When One Who Hears (Simon), along with his fishing partners—He Takes Over (James) and He Shows Goodwill (John), the sons of Gift of Creator (Zebedee)—saw what happened, they were filled with wonder and awe at the great catch of fish. One Who Hears (Simon) fell to his knees in front of Creator Sets Free (Jesus). “Wisdomkeeper!” he groaned. “Go away from me! For I am a bad-hearted and unholy man.” “Do not fear!” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) told him. “From now on your nets will catch two-leggeds.”
“Get out of my way, Accuser (Satan), you evil trickster!” he said to Stands on the Rock (Peter). “You have become a stone to trip over and make me stumble on my path. Your thoughts are against the Great Spirit, for his ways are not the ways of human beings.” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) knew that his follower’s thinking was being affected by Accuser (Satan).
