Romans 2:28First Nations VersionBeing a true Tribal Member is a matter of the heart, not of blood or ceremonial law. It is the same with the cutting of the flesh ceremony. It is a spiritual matter, not a physical one. One might perform the ceremony perfectly according to tribal law for all to see, but it is not what happens on the outside that counts. It is what happens spiritually, on the inside, that has true meaning. Such a person seeks honor from the Great Spirit and not from human beings. See the chapter |
The story of what happened then is a way to understand our purification ceremony with water, a ceremony that is performed to set us free and make us whole. This ceremony does not just wash the dirt from our bodies. It shows that from deep inside we are crying out for Creator to set us free by what he did when he raised Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One from the dead.
You Nations must not forget that before you knew the Chosen One you were not natural-born members of the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel). You were called “the outsiders” by the ones who call themselves “the insiders.” But remember, the sign that marks them as insiders is cut into their flesh with human hands.
