How can you say, ‘Here, let me help you,’ when you cannot see that you are the one who needs help? Stop pretending to be something you are not!


“You who wear false faces!” he said to the headman. “Is there anyone who would not untie his horse on the Day of Resting and take it to a watering hole?


So he said to them, “I am sure you will tell me this wise saying, ‘Healer, use your medicine on yourself.’ And you will say, ‘We want to see you do here in your own village the powerful signs you did in Village of Comfort (Capernaum).’


He could see right through them and knew what they were up to! “Why are you putting me to the test? I can see behind your false faces!” he answered.


“You who wear false faces! You understand what the earth, wind, and sky are saying, but you are blind to the message of the season you live in.


But the evil spirit spoke back to them, “I know of Creator Sets Free (Jesus) and I have heard of Small Man (Paul), but who are you?”


Think of it this way. How can you see the speck of wood in the eye of another when you cannot see the log in your own eye?


How can you say, ‘Here, let me help you,’ when you cannot see that you need even more help?


“Take care not to give what is sacred to the ones who will turn on you and treat you with disrespect. For who would toss an eagle feather into the dirt to be trampled on?
