No one hides a torch under a basket. Instead it is lifted up high on a pole, so all who are in the house can see it.

“No one hides a torch behind a blanket or under a sleeping bundle. No! A torch belongs up high on a pole, where it can give light to everyone.


“No one, after lighting a lamp, hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead it will be lifted up high on a pole so all who enter can see it.” Among the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel) a greedy person was said to have a bad eye and unable to see the good road. A generous person was said to have a good eye, full of light and able to clearly see the good road. So he said to them,


“No one after lighting a lamp hangs a blanket in front of it. Instead, they would put it on a table so everyone can see.


But, if your eyes are bad, then your whole being is full of darkness. Make sure your eyes are full of light and not darkness, and then you will clearly see the path you walk, like a torch in the night.”


In this way, you will show yourselves to be pure and innocent children of the Great Spirit. Even though you walk among a generation of people who live in bent and twisted ways, your reputation will shine as bright as the stars in the night sky


The first room in the sacred lodge tent was called the Holy Place. In that room, there was a lampstand and a table for the sacred bread and other ceremonial items.


So remember what made you stumble, go back and find that first love, and do what needs to be done. Unless you change your thinking about this, I will have to come and remove your lampstand.
