“When you see the ‘horrible thing that brings destruction’ making its stand where it does not belong—the reader will know what this means—the ones who live in the Land of Promise (Judea) should escape to the mountains.


“When you see Village of Peace (Jerusalem) surrounded and encamped about by the armies of the People of Iron (Romans), you will know that the time of her destruction has come.


Creator’s blessing rests on the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and on those who hear and take to heart what is written in it, for the time it speaks about is almost here.


“In the days ahead your enemies will encircle you and close in on you from every side. You will be crushed and trampled down, along with all your children.


This is the reason we, who are followers of the Chosen One, must walk with firm steps, holding true to what we have heard, so we will not wander away from the good road.
