Humble yourselves in the sight of the Great Spirit, and he will lift you up to a place of honor.


He said to them, “The ones who put themselves above others will be brought down, but all who humble themselves will be lifted up.”


But this will not be the way of the ones, like you, who walk with me.


“The ones representing me who welcome this little child are welcoming me. When you welcome me, you are not only welcoming me but also the one who sent me. That is what I meant when I said, ‘The lowest among you will become the greatest of all.’”


In the same way, those who are young should listen to their elders. All of you must wear the regalia of humility as you walk together. “The Great Spirit stands against the proud and arrogant, but he shows great kindness to the humble of heart.”


The ones who walked the road with Creator Sets Free (Jesus) came to him. “Who is the greatest one on Creator’s good road from above?” they asked.


“I speak from my heart,” he said to them, “unless you become like a little child, you will not find the pathway onto the good road.


“The ones representing me who welcome a little child like this one welcome me.” Then he spoke in a more serious manner.


None of them would answer him, because they had been arguing about who among themselves was the greatest.
