So Creator Sets Free (Jesus) sat down and gathered his twelve followers around him. “The one who would be first must be the one who will serve all the others—and become last,” he told them.
This will not be the way of the ones who walk my road. The greatest among you will be least, like a child, and the rulers will be like household servants.” He let his words sink into their hearts.
But his gift of great kindness is more than enough, just as our Sacred Teachings also say, “The Great Spirit stands against the proud and arrogant, but he shows great kindness to the humble of heart.”
“Can you not see?” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) said. “The tribal tax collector returned home in good standing with Creator, but the Separated One (Pharisee) did not! The ones who think too highly of themselves will be brought down low. The ones who humble themselves will be lifted up.”
