Wherever he would go—into villages, camps, or in the countryside—they would take the sick, lay them in front of the trading posts, and beg him to let them touch the fringes of his clothes. And all who touched him were healed.

There was a woman following with the crowd who had been bleeding in an unusual way for more than twelve winters. This would have made her ceremonially unclean and untouchable according to tribal law. She came up close behind Creator Sets Free (Jesus), reached out her hand, and touched the fringe of his outer garment.


All the people were trying to touch him, for great power was flowing out from him to heal them all!


His reputation as a healer had made the sick desperate to reach out and touch him.


The people carried the sick into the village pathways and laid them on their sleeping bundles and mats so that when Stands on the Rock (Peter) walked by, his shadow might fall on them.

They begged him to let them touch the fringe on his outer garment—and all who touched it were healed.


So they ran to all the nearby villages, gathered up the sick on their sleeping bundles, and brought them to Creator Sets Free (Jesus).
