For the sun rises with its fiery heat and dries up the grass, causing the wildflower to fall to the ground and its beauty to fade away. This is how it will be for those who go about working so hard to get many possessions.


Never again will they hunger or thirst or suffer under the heat of the desert sun.


These bad-hearted ones have no respect for the love you share when they feast with you at your sacred family gatherings. They are dark spots and stains on your gatherings, caring only for themselves. They are clouds with no rain, blown about by the winds. They are trees that have no fruit at the harvest moon. They are twice dead, with their roots plucked from the ground.


He will use his trickster ways to lead people down a path to a bad end. They will follow him because they did not love the truth that would rescue them and set them free.


Let your roots grow deep into him, and then your faith will grow strong and your steps will become firm on this path that you have learned to follow, always giving thanks to the Great Spirit.
