It was now only two days before the traditional yearly Passover and Bread Without Yeast festival would be celebrated. The head holy men and the scroll keepers were scheming together about ways to have him captured and killed.

The Passover festival was drawing near. Creator Sets Free (Jesus) knew it was time to leave this world and go back to his Father. His love for the ones who walked the road with him had always been great, and now, at the end, his love for them remained strong.


When the Separated Ones (Pharisees) and the head holy men heard about this great miracle, they called the Grand Council together. “What are we going to do?” they asked each other. “This man has powerful medicine and performs many signs and wonders.


The Separated Ones (Pharisees) stormed out of there and began to scheme together about how to have Creator Sets Free (Jesus) killed.


When you give gifts to the poor and do good things for others, do not brag about it on the village pathways or in the gathering houses, like those who put on a false face, pretending to be something they are not. The truth is, they honor only themselves and they will get nothing more.


“We should not do it during the festival,” they decided, “for that might create an uprising among the people.”


It was now the first day of Bread Without Yeast. This was when the ceremonial lamb would be killed and eaten. “Where do you want us to go to prepare the ceremonial meal?” his followers asked their Wisdomkeeper.


After capturing him, he put him in prison and assigned sixteen soldiers to guard him—four at a time. Looks Brave (Herod) planned to bring him before the people during the Passover festival.
