They must stay awake and be ready, doing what he says, for they do not know when the chief will return. It may be when the sun is setting, or late into the night, or when the rooster crows early in the morning.

“So keep both eyes open and be ready at all times, for no one knows when this time will come.


So be on the lookout, because you never know when your Honored Chief will arrive.


Just like this elder, you must be ready, for the True Human Being will not come at the time you expect him to.


“I speak from my heart,” he said back to him. “This very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny three times that you even know me.”


He could see them paddling hard against the wind. Then, early in the morning, just before sunrise, he walked out on the lake and was going to pass right past them.


Late into the night, just before the morning light, Creator Sets Free (Jesus) came near them, walking on the water!


“But know this: If the elder of a family had known at what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and stopped the thief from breaking in.


“I am telling all of you the same thing. So be ready and stay alert!”
