He said to them, “The ones who put themselves above others will be brought down, but all who humble themselves will be lifted up.”


So Creator Sets Free (Jesus) sat down and gathered his twelve followers around him. “The one who would be first must be the one who will serve all the others—and become last,” he told them.


“The ones representing me who welcome this little child are welcoming me. When you welcome me, you are not only welcoming me but also the one who sent me. That is what I meant when I said, ‘The lowest among you will become the greatest of all.’”


Do not permit the ways of this world to mold and shape you. Instead, let Creator change you from the inside out, in the way a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. He will do this by giving you a new way of thinking, seeing, and walking. Then you will know for sure what the Great Spirit wants for you, things that are good, that make the heart glad, and that help you to walk the path of becoming a mature and true human being.


But you, my sacred family members, have been called to walk in freedom. Do not use this freedom to walk in weak and broken human ways. Instead, walk in love and serve each other.


“My way of ruling is a good road. It is not in the ways of this world. If it were, my followers would have fought to keep me from being captured.”


“Can you not see?” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) said. “The tribal tax collector returned home in good standing with Creator, but the Separated One (Pharisee) did not! The ones who think too highly of themselves will be brought down low. The ones who humble themselves will be lifted up.”


So Creator Sets Free (Jesus) called them together and said, “Other nations have rulers, such as the People of Iron (Romans). They like to show their power over people and push them around.


The great ones among you will humble themselves and serve all the others.


This will not be the way of the ones who walk my road. The greatest among you will be least, like a child, and the rulers will be like household servants.” He let his words sink into their hearts.
