From the surrounding territory of the Land of Promise (Judea) and from Village of Peace (Jerusalem), all the people came to him to participate in his purification ceremony performed in the river Flowing Down (Jordan). As they came, they were admitting to their bad hearts and broken ways.

Many who had chosen to follow Creator Sets Free (Jesus) came forward and admitted to their evil practices.


“Change your thinking,” Stands on the Rock (Peter) instructed them, “and participate in the purification ceremony that is done in the name of Creator Sets Free (Jesus), the Chosen One, representing him and initiating you into his right ways. You will then be healed from your bad hearts, released from your broken ways, and gifted with the Holy Spirit, who will give you the strength to walk the good road with him.


About a two-day walk to the north, Gift of Goodwill (John) was also performing the purification ceremony, at Spring of Water (Aenon), near Peaceful Village (Salem), where there was much water.


These things took place in House of Figs (Bethany) on the far side of the river Flowing Down (Jordan). The tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel) performed a ceremony every year where a lamb was killed and then ceremonially eaten. This was to remind them of the time when the Great Spirit set them free from their slavery to the ruler of Black Land (Egypt) and took them to a new land.


Large crowds from all directions began to seek after him—too many to number! They came from Circle of Nations (Galilee) and Ten Villages (Decapolis), and from Village of Peace (Jerusalem), and the Land of Promise (Judea), and from beyond the river Flowing Down (Jordan).


The prophesied messenger appeared in the desert wilderness. He came to tell everyone to turn from their wrong ways of thinking and return to the ways of the Great Spirit. The messenger’s name was Gift of Goodwill (John). He came to perform the purification ceremony to show people that they had been released from their broken ways.


Gift of Goodwill (John) came wearing buffalo-skin garments, with a cowhide sash around his waist. The food he ate was grasshoppers and wild honey.


So admit your broken ways one to another and pray for each other that you may be healed. The prayer of one in good standing with Creator is powerful and good medicine.
