But still they did not understand. The meaning was hidden from them. Their hearts would not let them believe what they heard with their ears. His words filled them with sorrow and dread, and they were afraid to ask him what it all meant.

But his twelve message bearers did not understand what he was saying. The meaning was hidden from their eyes.


At the time his followers did not understand these things. It was not until some time later, when he had entered his place of honor and bright shining-greatness, that they remembered how the things done to him had first been written down by the ancient prophets long ago.


But they did not understand the meaning of what he was saying to them.


But his followers did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask.


Looks Like His Brother (Thomas) interrupted and said, “Wisdomkeeper, if we do not know where you are going, how can we know the path?”


The people who heard him said, “How can this be? We have been told from our Sacred Teachings that the Chosen One, when he comes, will remain beyond the end of all days. How can you say the True Human Being will be lifted up like this? Who are you talking about?”


So they told no one, but wondered what this “coming back to life from the dead” meant.


But Stands on the Rock (Peter) pulled him away from the others and spoke sharply to him, “Wisdomkeeper, do not even think this way! This must never happen to you!”


The ones who walked the road with Creator Sets Free (Jesus) began to argue with each other over which one of them was the most important. When they got back to the house, Creator Sets Free (Jesus) asked them, “What were you arguing about as we walked on the road?” But they just looked around at each other, not wanting to answer him.


While they were in Circle of Nations (Galilee), Creator Sets Free (Jesus) gathered his followers together. “The True Human Being will soon be taken and handed over to men


His followers whispered to each other, “None of us brought him anything to eat.”
