so listen when they speak the truth and do what they say but do not walk in their ways. They fail to do the things they demand of others


These false chosen ones were among us, but they did not belong, so they left. If they had truly belonged, they would have remained—but they left, showing that they did not belong.


He cuts off the branches in me that have no fruit. He carefully trims back the branches with fruit, so they will grow more fruit.

but because they have no roots, their faith is shallow and does not last. As soon as the message brings them trouble or opposition, they stumble and lose their way.


What would happen to those who, after being set free from the shameful ways of the world through knowing our Honored Chief and Sacred Deliverer, Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One, were to be overcome by these ways and to choose to walk once again on that bad path? If that happened, they would be in a worse place than they were at first.


So because I could not bear waiting any longer, I sent He Gives Honor (Timothy) to see whether you were still walking in our spiritual ways. For I feared that the evil trickster may have drawn you away, and our work among you would come to nothing.


In all our gathering houses I violently punished them, trying to force them to speak against Creator Sets Free (Jesus). Like a threatening storm I took out my anger on them, even pursuing them to faraway places.


“I know that after I am gone savage wolves will sneak in who care nothing for the sheep.


“‘Now bring to me the ones who opposed me before the council,’ he said with authority. ‘They will now have to die, while I watch, because they have made themselves my enemies.’” He told them this so they would see that the good road would not come in the way they expected.


“But many of his own people despised him, so they sent some messengers ahead of him to speak with the council. ‘We do not want this man to be our chief,’ they said. “But the council did not listen to them.


When this happens, many will stumble on the path and even hate and betray each other.


He dug deep to find solid ground to build on. When a flood came, the waters beat against the lodge, but it stood strong. Nothing could shake it, for it was built on solid ground.


When Creator Sets Free (Jesus) was finished speaking to the people, he went to Village of Comfort (Capernaum).
