When the Separated Ones (Pharisees) and the scroll keepers saw Creator Sets Free (Jesus) eating with outcasts, they complained to his followers, saying, “Why does your wisdomkeeper keep company with tribal tax collectors and outcasts?”

The arguments grew louder and louder. Then some scroll keepers who were among the Separated Ones (Pharisees) stood up and voiced their argument forcefully. “We find no reason to condemn this man,” they cried out. “It could be that a spirit or spirit-messenger has spoken to him!”


But when the people saw this, they shook their heads. “What is he doing?” they grumbled out loud. “Why would he go into the house of an outcast?”


The scroll keepers and the Separated Ones (Pharisees) began to grumble among themselves, “Who is this man to speak lies against the Great Spirit with such disrespect? Who but the Maker of Life can release a man from his wrongdoings?”


On another day he was teaching at a house in Village of Comfort (Capernaum). The Separated Ones (Pharisees) and the scroll keepers had come from the surrounding villages of Circle of Nations (Galilee) and from as far as the Land of Promise (Judea) and Village of Peace (Jerusalem) to hear him speak. The healing power of the Great Spirit was there, resting on Creator Sets Free (Jesus).


The Separated Ones (Pharisees) and many of the tribal people will not eat until they ceremonially wash their hands, following the traditions of the elders.


“The Separated One (Pharisee) kept his distance from the tribal tax collector and prayed out loud, ‘Creator, I thank you that I am not like the rest of humankind—like the ones who use force to get from others what they want, or who are not faithful in marriage, or who have no understanding of right or wrong. I thank you also that I am not like this tribal tax collector standing here!


When the spiritual leader saw this, he thought to himself, “If this man were a true prophet he would know who is touching him. He would see what kind of woman this is—an outcast!”


The True Human Being comes feasting and drinking and you say, ‘He eats too much and is a drunk, a friend of tribal tax collectors and outcasts with broken ways!’


“If you love and show respect only to the ones who do the same, how does that bring honor to you? Even tribal tax collectors do these things.
