First Nations Version

Prove to others by the way you live that you have returned to the good road. Do not think you can say, ‘Father of Many Nations (Abraham) is our ancestor.’ Do you not know that the Great Spirit can make these stones into his children?

First I told those in Silent Weaver (Damascus). Then I told the people in Village of Peace (Jerusalem) and all in the territory of the Land of Promise (Judea), and to the Outside Nations. I told them all that they should change their thinking, return to Creator’s ways, and walk in a manner worthy of this change of heart.


“So I say to you that Creator’s good road will be torn from you and given to a people who will bring its fruit to a full harvest. For the ones who stumble over this Chief Lodgepole will be broken into pieces,


I pray that your lives will be filled with the good fruit of doing what is right, which comes from remaining true to Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One. All of this will bring honor and praise to the Great Spirit.


Just because they are descendants of Father of Many Nations (Abraham) does not make them the children of promise. For the Sacred Teachings say, “It is the descendants of He Made Us Laugh (Isaac) who will carry on your name.”


That is why the promise comes from trusting in the gift of Creator’s great kindness, so that all the descendants of Father of Many Nations (Abraham) can be sure to receive it. This promise is not only for the ones who are under our tribal law, but for all who walk the same path of trust and faith that Father of Many Nations (Abraham) walked. For he is the father of us all!


“I will tell you this,” he said to them. “If they were silenced, the very stones and rocks we are walking on would lift their voices and cry out!”


But they questioned him, “We are the descendants of Father of Many Nations (Abraham) and have never been anyone’s slave. How can you say, ‘You will be set free’?”


“Father of Many Nations (Abraham) is our father,” they said back to him in anger. Creator Sets Free (Jesus) said to them, “If you were truly the children of Father of Many Nations (Abraham), you would do the same things he did.


You are like trees without fruit. Prove to others, by the way you live, that you have returned to the good road.


Do you think you can say, ‘Father of Many Nations (Abraham) is our ancestor’? Do you not know the Great Spirit can make these stones into his children?


The scroll keepers and the Separated Ones (Pharisees) began to grumble among themselves, “Who is this man to speak lies against the Great Spirit with such disrespect? Who but the Maker of Life can release a man from his wrongdoings?”


“Once the elder of a home has closed the door, others will come pound on the door and say to him, ‘Elder! Elder! Open the door for us!’ “But the elder will tell them, ‘I do not know who you are.’


“‘But did we not eat and drink with you?’ they will argue. ‘Did you not teach on our village pathways?’


Then the host will come to you and say, ‘Give your seat to this person.’ Then, hanging your head, you will have to take the lowest seat.


Creator Sets Free (Jesus) smiled and said, “This is a good day, because this man and his family have finally been set free. For he also is a descendant of Father of Many Nations (Abraham) who had lost his way.
