If someone who has many possessions sees another in need and shows no pity, how can Creator’s love remain in that person?


Instruct them to walk in a good way, to possess many good deeds, and to be willing and ready to share with those in need.


“Then only one thing remains,” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) told him, “Take all of your possessions and give them to the ones who have none. Then you will have great possessions in the spirit-world above. And then come, walk the good road with me.”


If we say that we love the Great Spirit but hate others, then we are speaking with a forked tongue. If we do not love someone we can see, then how can we love a Creator we cannot see?


But the one whose spirituality is pure and spotless before our Father the Great Spirit takes care of widows and orphans, and keeps himself free from the evil ways of this world.


If you will give food to the hungry from the inside of you, from the pity in your heart, then all things will be clean for you.


“‘I speak from my heart,’ he answered them, ‘whatever you did for the least important of my fellow human beings who needed help, you did for me.’


The Great Spirit will not fail to do what is right. He will not forget how hard you have worked and how much love you have shown in representing him. He sees how you have served his holy ones, in the past and even now.


“‘Little Horn (Cornelius),’ he said to me, ‘your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have risen like sweet-smelling smoke before the Great Spirit. He has remembered what you have done.


Little Horn (Cornelius) could only stare at the spirit-messenger and tremble with fear. “What is it you want, Honored One?” he asked the messenger. “Your prayers and gifts of kindness have been remembered. They have risen like sweet-smelling smoke to the Great Spirit.


He was a spiritual man who had deep respect for the Great Spirit. He, along with all his family, gave with a big heart to the poor and prayed to Creator at all times.


Since he was the keeper of the money pouch, they thought he was going to pay for the ceremonial meal or give something to the poor.


Pure of Heart (Zacchaeus) stood up to the crowd and said to Creator Sets Free (Jesus), “Hear me, Wisdomkeeper. I will give half my possessions to the ones who have none. If I have cheated anyone, I will give them back four times as much.”


The ones among you who have stolen and taken what is not theirs must learn to do good, working hard with their hands. In this way they will not only have enough for themselves but also something to help others.


Instruct the ones who have many possessions in this present world not to see themselves as better than others. They must not put their hope in their many possessions, which cannot be depended on, but in the Great Spirit, who, from his great possessions, provides all we need to enjoy life.


What good is it, my sacred family members, if a man says “I have faith,” but has no deeds to show for it? Can that kind of “faith” set him free and make him whole?
