So they began to accuse him, “We caught this man misleading our nation and telling people not to pay taxes to the government of the People of Iron (Romans). He tells the people that he is the Chosen One, a Great Chief.”

Spear of the Great Waters (Pilate) tried harder to have Creator Sets Free (Jesus) released, but the people would not have it. They stood their ground, saying, “If you release a man who says he is a chief, you are not honoring the ruler of your people, for anyone who claims to be a chief challenges his power.”


and said to them, “You told me this man was a troublemaker, but I questioned him and found him not guilty of your accusations.


“We have found this man to be a troublemaker who, all over the world, stirs up our Tribal People in a bad way. He is a headman of the wayward band called Seed Planters (Nazarenes).


“If he were not a criminal, would we have brought him to you?” they answered. “Take him away!”


“Then give this ruler the things that are his,” he told them, “but give to the Great Spirit the things that belong to the Great Spirit.” The spiritual leaders were amazed at his words. They could not believe it. They had failed right in front of all the people and could not use his words against him, so they walked away in silence.


“The Ruler of the People of Iron (Caesar),” they answered. He handed the coin back to them and said, “Then give to this ruler the things that are his, and give to the Great Spirit the things that belong to the Great Spirit.”


No one here can prove the accusations they now bring against me.


But they kept accusing him and saying, “He is making trouble with the people of the Land of Promise (Judea), spreading his teachings from Circle of Nations (Galilee) to Village of Peace (Jerusalem).”


but, to keep from insulting them, we will pay. Go to the lake and open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a silver coin. Use that to pay the dues for both of us.”


Creator Sets Free (Jesus) now stood before the governor of the People of Iron (Romans) for questioning. “Are you the chief of the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel)?” the governor asked him. “It is as you say,” he answered.

Spear of the Great Waters (Pilate) came outside to meet them. They took Creator Sets Free (Jesus) and stood him before Spear of the Great Waters (Pilate). He took a good long look at him, then turned back to the crowd. “What has this man done wrong?” he asked them.


So pay all the different kinds of taxes you owe, and show respect and honor to all.
