Creator Sets Free (Jesus) looked at the spiritual leaders and said, “Then what do the Sacred Teachings mean when they say, ‘The tree the lodge builders threw away has become the Chief Lodgepole’?
“Are you blind to the Sacred Teachings?” he said to them. “Have you not read this: ‘The tree the lodge builders threw away has become the Chief Lodgepole. This is what the Great Spirit has done, and it will fill us with wonder’?
for there is another prophecy in the Sacred Teachings that tells what will happen to me. It says, ‘He was numbered with the rebels.’ This also must find its full meaning and come to an end in me.”
As he ate, he said this to them, “When I was with you before, I told you that all the words of Drawn from the Water (Moses), the Prophets, and the Sacred Book of Songs (Psalms) must find their full meaning in me.”
Then Creator Sets Free (Jesus) turned and looked at him from a distance. Stands on the Rock (Peter) remembered what he had been told earlier, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me.”
Creator Sets Free (Jesus) then looked around at the people and said to his followers, “Finding and walking the good road is a hard thing for the ones who have many possessions.”
There was fire in his eyes as he looked around the room. His anger turned to sorrow when he saw their hearts of stone. He turned to the man and said, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and it was the same as his good hand!
As he rode forward, he could see the Sacred Village of Peace (Jerusalem), and tears began to run down his face. He could taste the salt from his tears as he opened his mouth in anguish.
For it stands true in our Sacred Teachings, “Behold, in Strong Mountain (Zion) I am setting in place the Chief Lodgepole that I have chosen, one that is highly honored. The hearts of all who trust in him will never fall to the ground.”
