Eight days after the birth of their son, in keeping with the traditional cutting of the flesh ceremony, they named him Creator Sets Free (Jesus), the name given them by the spirit-messenger before the child was born.

Then, eight days later at his naming ceremony, all the relatives wanted to name him after his father, Creator Will Remember (Zechariah). According to tribal law, the cutting of the flesh ceremony was performed for all male children on the eighth day. The child’s name was also given at that time.
