“You who wear false faces!” he said to the headman. “Is there anyone who would not untie his horse on the Day of Resting and take it to a watering hole?
So he took hold of the man, healed him, and sent him on his way. He then turned to the spiritual leaders and said, “If your child, or even a horse, fell into a watering hole, would you not pull it out on the Day of Resting?”
Many thousands of people were now crowding around Creator Sets Free (Jesus), so many that they were trampling on each other. Before he spoke to the crowd, he first said to his followers, “Be on the lookout for the teachings of the Separated Ones (Pharisees) who put on a false face.
“Sorrow and trouble is waiting for you scroll keepers and Separated Ones (Pharisees), for you have hidden from the people the way onto the good road from above. You have failed to walk the good road yourselves, and, even worse, you have barred the way for others who were trying to find the way.
Then he warned them, “The Separated Ones (Pharisees) are blind guides. The ones who follow them are also blind, and they will both fall into a ditch. You will do well to stay away from them.”
