Luke 10:25

First Nations Version

A scroll keeper, one who was skilled in his knowledge of tribal law, came to Creator Sets Free (Jesus) to test him and trap him in his words. “Wisdomkeeper,” he said. “What path must I walk to have the life of the world to come that never fades away, full of beauty and harmony?”

A spiritual leader came to Creator Sets Free (Jesus). “Good Wisdomkeeper,” he asked, “what must I do to have the life of the world to come that never fades away, full of beauty and harmony?”


For if sharing in these blessings depends on walking the path of the law, then the promise falls to the ground. But the Giver of Life promised it to Father of Many Nations (Abraham) as a gift of his great kindness.


But the scroll keepers and Separated Ones (Pharisees) turned away from the Great Spirit’s plan for them, for they had refused the ceremony of Gift of Goodwill (John).


As Creator Sets Free (Jesus) set out walking from there, a man ran up to him and honored him. “Good Wisdomkeeper,” the man asked, “what path will lead me to the life of the world to come that never fades away?”


One of the scroll keepers overheard Creator Sets Free (Jesus) opposing the Upright Ones. When he heard the good answer he had given, he asked him, “Which instruction in our tribal law stands first?”


There were many prophets and chiefs who wanted to see and hear the things you have but did not.”


He answered him, “What is written in our tribal law about this? Tell me, how do you see it?”


They were putting him to a test, so they could have a way to accuse him. The crowd was silent and waited to see what he would say, but he said nothing. He bent over and with his finger wrote something in the dirt. When he did not answer right away, the Separated Ones (Pharisees) became angry and kept questioning him.


“What did the lawgiver Drawn from the Water (Moses) instruct the people about this?” he replied.
