They picked up stones to throw at him, but he hid himself in the crowd, passed them by, and walked out of the sacred lodge.


the ones who walked the road with him asked, “Wisdomkeeper, why was this man born blind? Was it his wrongdoings or his parents’ that caused this?”


As Creator Sets Free (Jesus) left from there, two blind men followed after him. They were calling out to him, “Be kind to us, descendant of Much Loved One (David).”


Not far from the village there were two blind men sitting on the side of the road. When the blind men heard that Creator Sets Free (Jesus) was passing by, they cried out to him, “Honored One! Descendant of Much Loved One (David), have pity on us!”


“How long has he been this way?” Creator Sets Free (Jesus) asked the father. “From the time he was a child,” the father answered.


There was a woman in the crowd who had been bleeding in an unusual way for more than twelve winters. Under tribal law this woman would be considered unclean. She was also required to warn people nearby of her condition by saying out loud, “Unclean! Unclean!” Instead, she pushed her way through the crowd to get to the Wisdomkeeper. She spent all she had on medicine men who were not able to heal her.


A man was there who had been ill for thirty-eight winters.


For the man who had been healed was over forty winters old.


There he found a man named Man of Honor (Aeneas), who could not move his body and had been unable to leave his bed for eight winters.


Now in the village of Set Free (Lystra) sat a man who was born with bad feet and unable to walk.


When the local natives saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said, “This man must be a murderer. Even though he escaped from the great waters, the spirit who rights wrongs will not let him live.”
