For the Word of the Great Spirit is alive, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged long knife. His Word cuts deep into the inner being, separating soul from spirit and joints from marrow. His Word uncovers the true nature of the human heart, its thoughts and intentions.


Since our life comes from the Spirit, let us dance in step with the Spirit and follow the Spirit’s guidance.


“Wisdomkeeper,” One Who Hears (Simon), also named Stands on the Rock (Peter), answered him, “who else would we walk the road with? You have the words that give the life of the world to come that never fades away, full of beauty and harmony.


You have been given new birth through the living word of the Great Spirit. This living Word is like a seed planted within you that will never decay and will remain to the time beyond the end of all days.


It is written in our Sacred Teachings, “The first man, Red Clay (Adam), became a living being.” But the last Red Clay (Adam), the Chosen One, became a life-giving spirit.


So you can see that hearing and trusting must walk together and follow the path given to us by Creator’s Chosen One.


The Chosen One died once for the broken ways of all people. The one who always does right suffered for those who do wrong to make a way for us to come to the Great Spirit. In his weak human body he was put to death, but he was made alive in the Spirit.


This is why we never stop giving thanks to the Great Spirit for the manner in which you welcomed his message. You received it for what it truly is, the word of Creator and not the word of human beings. His word is now at work in you who trust in its message.


For the Chosen One, Creator Sets Free (Jesus), has brought the new law of the Spirit’s life to release us from the death sentence of our tribal law, given because of our bad hearts and broken ways.


Creator is the one who chose to birth us into being by his word of truth so that we would be the first of all creation to truly be who he made us to be.


The story of what happened then is a way to understand our purification ceremony with water, a ceremony that is performed to set us free and make us whole. This ceremony does not just wash the dirt from our bodies. It shows that from deep inside we are crying out for Creator to set us free by what he did when he raised Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One from the dead.


Physical discipline is good for the life we now live, but spiritual discipline is good in every way, since it holds promise not only for this life but also for the life of the world to come.


Do not let all kinds of strange teachings take you down a wrong path. For our hearts are made strong by the gift of Creator’s great kindness, not from following rules about what foods to eat. These kinds of rules have not helped those who have followed after them.


So it no longer matters whether one participates in the cutting of the flesh ceremony or not. What matters is that you are a new creation in the Chosen One.


The cutting of the flesh ceremony has honor if you follow the instructions of our tribal law. But if you fail to follow the law, your cutting of the flesh ceremony is worthless.


So then, in Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One, whether or not you participate in the cutting of the flesh ceremony does not matter. What matters is walking out our faith on the road of love.


You will see the Son give life to whomever he wants and bring the dead back to life again—just like the Father does.


“Go and stand in the sacred lodge,” the spirit-messenger instructed them, “and speak all the words of this new life to the people.”
