The man went back to the strict traditional people and told them it was Creator Sets Free (Jesus) who had made him well again.

“Come and see this man who knows everything about me. Could he be the Chosen One?”


They puffed up their chests and said, “You were born an outcast, and you think you can teach us?” Then they threw him out and banned him from his gathering house.


The man answered them, “This is a strange thing! You, who are tribal leaders, do not know where this man comes from, yet he is the one who opened my eyes.


“I do not know whether this man has a bad heart,” he answered them. “But this I do know—I was blind but now I see.”


The Separated Ones (Pharisees) asked the man how he was healed. He said to them, “He rubbed mud on my eyes. I washed off the mud, and now I can see.”


“Who is the man who told you this?” they asked.


Some of the holy men and tribal leaders from the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel) were sent from Village of Peace (Jerusalem). “Who are you?” they asked.


Instead, he spread the news about his healing far and wide. Soon Creator Sets Free (Jesus) was unable to show his face in the local villages, so he stayed away from them. But the people continued to come to him from all directions.


The strict traditional Tribal Members saw the healed man carrying his bundle. “It is the Day of Resting,” they said to him. “Tribal law forbids you to carry your sleeping bundle.”


Because of this, the tribal leaders were giving Creator Sets Free (Jesus) trouble and wanted to put him to death, because he was doing this on the Day of Resting.


This made them want to kill him all the more, for he not only showed no regard for the Day of Resting, but he also was making himself out to be equal with the Great Spirit—calling him his own Father.
